5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing card, nice job Gigabyte, great upgrade from GTX 560 ti 448, May 17, 2012
This review is from: Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD Ultra Durable VGA Series Graphics Card (Personal Computers)
Just upgraded from my GTX 560 ti 448 which I bought not too long ago (6 months maybe), I knew that was a card to get me from the GTX 470 to the GTX 670 when I bought it but was not expecting this performance increase. I am seeing 45-50% increases in FPS in benchmarks and games! all while running quieter and cooler. The MSI 560 448 I had wasn't loud but I had to turn up the fan speeds to get the OC I wanted. On the Gigabyte 670 I don't! Remember that temps have just as much to do with your system setup (airflow in case) as with the cooling on the card. For instance people are getting low to mid 60s in temps on this card, but I get low to mid 50s. I have designed my case for amazing airflow with 10 Cougar case fans which are really quiet but move tons of air, getting temps in the low 50s while gaming and around 56-57 degrees while stress testing. Stock reference cards in basic case setups are normally around 70 degrees for this card.

The main game I bought this for... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars resellers trying to rip people off, May 23, 2012
This review is from: Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD Ultra Durable VGA Series Graphics Card (Personal Computers)
this card is great, runs everything i throw at it very well...i just wanted to comment on resellers here and on ebay...buying these up and then trying to make a big profit...like a person here on amazon named onestop99 and hightech vendors...these people should be named rip you off vendors...this card is selling at most placed for 399-420 bucks and these people have the nerve to try and sell for 527-529$ and they dont even have them...they are back ordered - WTF - people just be aware of places like these! what a scam if i ever saw one

BF3 70fps
Crysis 2 80fps
Far cry 2 90-100fps
skyrim 77fps

all these games are maxed out on AA and what not ultra settings
in a good case it will stay at 58c LOL awesome temps!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed bag of overclocking headroom, May 12, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD Ultra Durable VGA Series Graphics Card (Personal Computers)
Here is what I think so far:

From reviews from sites like Techpowerup, guru3d, pureoverclock, Vr-zone and others, many would think that a GTX 670 would easily overclock to 1300MHz and beyond. Well let me break it to you; that is simply not true.
From real users at overclock.net, people have been getting mixed overclocking results. Some can barely overclock to 1200, and some are easily climbing 1300MHz. This is all part of the silicon lottery and it appears that I have lost.

Gigabyte's non reference board promises to give better overclocking. While it is too early to tell due to a small sample size at the moment, I seriously doubt that there are big disparities in overclocking potential between this and a reference board.

However, overclocking aside, this card performs wonderfully. Temperatures are under 65C running Heaven 3.0 at 1080p 8X AA and Extreme Tess. This is with the card inside a 800D (does not have the greatest airflow) and the fan only... Read more
